[RUN]it - MARKETING AND PR
How do we make people play our game?
Marketing in the modern world has the ability to make or break a product upon release. A poor marketing structure can mean the difference between success and failure at the most basic of levels - something we are very aware of.
We are focusing very heavily on the area of social media marketing for the main body of our marketing efforts. This will largely take the form of two separate channels - Centralised and consistently updated social media outlets (most importantly instagram and tik tok), as well as a heavy focus on promoted marketing through personalities and influencers when it gets much closer to release time.
The devlog, of course, will also stay active throughout, as well as a community discord for our players to link up and chat about all things [RUN]it. It will also act as a space for us to learn about bugs or exploits that may become apparent in the game.
Instagram is consistently the largest and most populated social media platform out there, but tik tok is hot on its heels in terms of actual meaningful engagement, as the algorithm is much better and actually benefits the creators if their content does well.
We will be keeping a close eye on all socials and marketing channels throughout the cycle of the game, so stay tuned! You can see all of our social channels on one of our previous posts in the Devlog.
